Event promotion is an integral part of our mission— to continue to encourage artists to create and share the content of their work with an audience.

Writers' Showcase

We began hosting these "programmed" open mics in October 2004 at Molly Malone's Restaurant. Generally occurring every fourth Sunday of the month, this event has grown to include both local and national acts. From works read in this series, Art Sanctuary will seek to publish an annual of literature and art.

Amuse Les Sens (Soiree)

Often referred to as "The Soiree," the Amuse Les Sens events began with our first in November 2004 hosted at Adorno Studio with over 350 guests. These shows, created to be an "assault on the senses," include a blend of live performances as well as culinary, visual, and literary artists held at rotating, non-traditional venues. Other past venues have included Riverbend Winery, Petrus Nightclub, Felice Vineyards, and Flame Run.

Decadence

This event — which hosts a large crowd and has an adult, erotic, and generally dark flair — takes place twice a year in conjunction with Louisville Goth and Grotesque Burlesque. The show caters to those works that are controversial, experimental, or risqué, and is not for the faint of heart or easily offended.

Roundtable Dinners

Pot Luck versions of the Talk Salon, these dinners allow artists of similar and different mediums to come together and discuss issues, ideas, and works. These meet quarterly at different locations throughout the city.
