"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
To be abstruse, one could say that my photo work is basically an elaborate attempt to impose of my own cognition upon that of others. In simpler terms, I want people to be able to see things as I do, so that they might begin to experience what it's like to live inside my head. I've been trying to accomplish that singular goal throughout the course of my life, and have discovered that the camera seems to allow me to approach it without the requisite excessive verbosity, which is otherwise oft my wont.
Hopefully that'll work, as the alternative involves such unimaginably sinister machinations as the construction of a delightfully complex — but unspeakably horrendous — doomsday weapon.
...and some bunnies; very cute bunnies.
If it can be said that "a composer is a guy who goes around forcing his will on unsuspecting air molecules, often with the assistance of unsuspecting musicians,"* then a photographer accomplishes the same feat with unwitting undulations of light and subjects that may or may not be all too keenly aware of their roles in the grand scheme.
